Stansted Area Housing Partnership
Stansted Area Housing Partnership (SAHP) is a unique initiative between four local authorities, two housing associations, the Housing Corporation and BAA Stansted, which aims to provide a large number of affordable homes in the Stansted area over the next ten years.
It covers four local Council areas – Harlow (covering Harlow new town), Uttlesford (covering saffron Walden, Great Dunmow and parts of Essex in between), part of East Hertfordshire District Council area (Bishops Stortford and Sawbridgeworth Area) and part of Braintree Council area (Braintree Town) Under this partnership, homes for rent and low cost purchase will be built by two Housing Associations – Circle Anglia Housing Group and Moat Housing Group.
The partnership involves a unique ‘sharing’ arrangement between the four Council’s, which means that Harlow Council will be able to nominate people for homes in the other three Council areas.
